The history of “Gioie di Cavour” dates back to the mid-“19th century, from a hand that no one would suspect: that of the great statesman who united Italy, Camillo Benso Count of Cavour. Before immersing himself in his intense political days at Palazzo Carignano, Cavour used to stop by our pastry shop to enjoy his favorite beverage: hot chocolate. And every morning he would dip a teaspoon of chopped hazelnuts, always left on the counter for customers.”
In homage to that gesture that became a daily ritual, we created “Le Gioie di Cavour”: chocolate spheres, available in milk or dark chocolate versions, with a heart of gianduja or pistachio cream, covered with chopped hazelnuts or toasted pistachios.
These extraordinary chocolate treasures are a tribute to our beloved Turin and the chocolate-making art that we have cultivated with passion for centuries.
